A Player Account may be suspended until adequate proof of age is provided.
If the Account Holder no longer meets the required Minimum Legal Age due to a change in the law or a decision by the Competent Authorities, their Player Account will be suspended. During this suspension, the Account Holder will not be able to use the services of Licensed Providers and, where applicable, any other Unibet platform, but may still withdraw any remaining funds from the Player Account. The suspension will remain in effect until the Account Holder again reaches the required Minimum Legal Age.

2.5 The Account Holder warrants and declares, at all times:

  • To have the right to open a Player Account, to pay for the services of the License Holders and to use them and/or to participate in any way in the online betting offered on the Website;

If it appears that a person is already registered with incorrect information, the registration will be deleted. The License Holder does not systematically verify this information, but reserves the right to suspend or close a Player Account as soon as incorrect or false information is discovered.

2.7 The CJH may in certain cases refuse access to online gambling by verifying the personal data of the Account Holder when registering in the EPIS database, which contains the data of players excluded from gambling.

2.8 The Licensees reserve the right, at their discretion and at any time, to:

  • Refusing to open a Player Account without providing justification;
  • Closing a Player Account without providing justification;
  • Refusing deposits without providing justification; Requesting at any time to provide documents to verify the identity and activities of the Account Holder;

2.9 The Licensee undertakes, at all times, to:

  • manage the funds belonging to Account Holders in an appropriate and secure manner; and/or
  • absorb the cost and pay the Gaming Tax;
  • manage the Account Holder’s personal data in compliance with applicable laws and in accordance with legal rules for the protection of personal data;
  • not to offer Account Holders the ability to transfer funds between Player Accounts.

2.10 All Player Accounts are opened, maintained, and settled in Euros. All amounts relating to Games of Chance and winnings will be indicated with the Euro symbol (€). The Licensee performs all account maintenance operations requiring the use of exchange rates by referring to the authorized Financial Institutions and their exchange rates in effect at the time of the transactions. Slight differences may appear between the agreed amounts and the amounts recorded due to fluctuations in the various exchange rates.

2.11 A Player Account does not accrue interest. The Account Holder may not use the License Holder as a Financial Institution.

2.12 An Account Holder may only hold one Player Account at a time with the License Holder. Should this rule be violated, the Account Holder reserves the right to block and/or terminate any other superfluous Player Accounts held by the Account Holder in breach of this clause.

2.13 If fraud is detected on a Player Account or a violation of the Terms and Conditions, the License Holders may block the Player Account, freeze the funds, and permanently delete the Account Holder. No payment will be due to the Account Holder in this case.

2.14 Without prejudice to the generality of Article 10.15.6, a Player Account may not be transferred. An Account Holder is not authorized to sell, transfer, or purchase accounts from other third parties.

2.15 Any claim relating to a transaction involving a Game of Chance or the Player Account must be brought to the attention of the Licensee within six months of the date on which the transaction, payment, and/or settlement was or should have been made. If this deadline is not met, the Licensee reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disregard the claim.

2.16 Any dispute relating to a transaction made in connection with a Game of Chance or the Player Account which cannot be settled by the General Terms and Conditions, and for which no fair solution has been found with the Account Holder, shall be resolved in accordance with Belgian law and the jurisdiction of the courts of Brussels.

2.17 In the event of a dispute, the Account Holder is advised to file a complaint with the License Holders’ customer service department. The complaint will then be submitted to the CJH if they so request. The parties must make every effort to find an amicable solution within a reasonable timeframe.

2.18 The Account Holder who wishes to obtain information or make a complaint in relation to the Website, may contact the CJH, mentioning at least his name, first name, and date of birth, in the following two ways: by email to the address: [email protected] or by post to: Commission des jeux de hasard, Bureau des renseignements, Cantersteen, 47, 1000 Brussels, Belgium.

2.19 In the event of a dispute with the Account Holder, the Licensee may provide the Account Holder with a detailed statement of their transactions. This information may also be made available to a legitimate third party (such as a judge or court) if the Licensee so requests or consents.

2.20 The Licence Holder shall examine as soon as possible any complaint from an Account Holder addressed to it or addressed to the CJH.

2.21 The License Holders shall inform the complainant and/or the CJH of the results of the investigation within twenty-one (21) days of the date on which the complaint was filed with them.

2.22 The complaint must include clear and unambiguous information regarding the identity of the complainant and must specify all relevant details that gave rise to the complaint.

2.23 Deposit limits, loss limits, voluntary product blocking and self-exclusion (Player Account blocking)

2.23.1 Deposit Limits
The deposit limit means the maximum total amount in euros that the Account Holder can deposit into their Player Account over a period of 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days.

2.23.2 The deposit limit means the maximum total amount in euros that the Account Holder can deposit into their Player Account over a period of 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days.
For the protection of the Account Holder, the most restrictive deposit limit chosen (i.e., the lowest) will always be applied.

2.23.3 Mandatory Standard Weekly Filing Legal Limit

2.23.4 In accordance with Belgian gambling legislation, the Account Holder’s standard weekly deposit limit is initially set at €200.
This means that the maximum total amount that the Account Holder can deposit each week (this is a rolling “weekly window”, meaning that the week is calculated on the basis of the last 7 days and moves continuously) into their Player Account is set at €200 by default (hereinafter the “Standard Weekly Legal Deposit Limit”).

2.23.5 Personally Chosen Deposit Limits

2.23.6 The Account Holder may also set additional personally chosen deposit limits for 24 hours and/or for 30 days if he/she wishes (hereinafter the “Personal Deposit Limit(s)”).

2.23.7 Decrease a deposit limit

2.23.8 The Account Holder may request at any time to reduce the Standard Weekly Legal Deposit Limit or the Personal Deposit Limit(s).
A request to reduce the Standard Weekly Legal Deposit Limit or the Personal Deposit Limit(s) will take effect immediately.

2.23.9 Increasing a deposit limit

  • a) Increase in the Standard Weekly Legal Deposit Limit

The Account Holder may request an increase to the Standard Weekly Deposit Limit.
The License Holder will inform the CJH, which will then check with the National Bank of Belgium whether the Account Holder is known to be in default of payment in the Central Individual Credit Register of the National Bank of Belgium (hereinafter the “CCP”).
Insofar as the Account Holder had a Player Account with Unibet before September 2, 2024, and had already modified their Standard Weekly Deposit Limit, the modified limit will remain in effect notwithstanding the continued application of the General Terms and Conditions.

A request to increase the Standard Weekly Deposit Limit beyond €200 will only be granted if the Account Holder is not known to be in default with the CCP and after a reflection period of at least 72 hours following the submission of this request.
The CJH will check monthly with the National Bank of Belgium whether the Account Holder to whom an increase in their Standard Weekly Deposit Limit beyond €200 has been granted is listed in the CCP’s database. If the Account Holder appears in the CCP’s database, the authorization to increase their Standard Weekly Deposit Limit will be revoked, and the Account Holder will be notified by the License Holder.

  • (b) Increase in the Personal Deposit Limit(s)

The Account Holder may request to increase their Personal Deposit Limit(s).
For the Account Holder’s protection, such a request will only take effect after a 72-hour reflection period following submission.

2.23.10 Loss Limits
An Account Holder may set a loss limit at their own request in order to limit the amount they can lose during a specified period.

2.23.11 A loss limit means the maximum total net amount in euros that the Account Holder can lose over a 24-hour, 7-day, or 30-day period. Loss limits are calculated on a net loss basis, meaning that winnings are taken into account and any money earned during the limit period is added to the chosen loss limit (For example, if you set a net loss limit of €100 per week, and you subsequently lose €100, you will not be able to play again until the end of the week. Winnings are also counted, so if you lose €50 and win €50, you will still have a total of €100 to lose before being limited).

2.23.12 Once the chosen loss limit is reached, the Account Holder may no longer place bets on the chosen product(s) until the chosen limitation period has ended and been reset. Limits are renewed at 00:00 CET (Central European Time), so the initial period may not correspond to a full day, week, or month.

2.23.13 An Account Holder may set up to three loss limits (daily, weekly, and monthly) for all products and only one loss limit for specific products (daily, weekly, or monthly). For the Account Holder’s protection, the most restrictive (i.e., lowest) chosen loss limit will always be applied.

2.23.14 If the Account Holder adds or decreases a loss limit, the change will take effect immediately. If the Account Holder increases or removes a loss limit, this request will only take effect after a 72-hour reflection period following submission of the request.

2.23.15 The Licensee reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to impose a maximum loss limit at any time for a defined or indefinite period, in which case the Account Holder will be notified by the Licensee. A loss limit imposed by the Licensee may only be increased with the Licensee’s consent, and for this purpose, additional documentation may be requested from the Account Holder to confirm that the requested increased loss limit is indeed feasible.

2.23.16 Voluntary Product Blocking
The Account Holder may, at any time and at their own request, restrict their access for a specified or indefinite period.
A chosen restriction is irreversible and cannot be removed prematurely once it has been set.

2.23.17 Self-exclusion (blocking of the Player Account)
The Account Holder may at any time, at their own request, exclude themselves and block their Player Account for a certain period or permanently.

2.23.18 During a temporary self-exclusion period (24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, 3 months, or 6 months), the Account Holder may not log in to their Player Account or play, make deposits, or withdraw funds. Once the chosen self-exclusion period has expired, the Account Holder will not be notified of its end. A temporary self-exclusion is irreversible and cannot be lifted prematurely once established.

2.23.19 Permanent self-exclusion is irreversible, and the Account Holder will no longer have access to their Player Account. The Account Holder must request any funds before permanently self-excluding. In accordance with Belgian gambling legislation, the License Holder must inform the CJH of the Account Holder’s permanent self-exclusion.

2.24 An “Inactive Player Account” is a Player Account of an Account Holder who has not logged in or logged out for twelve (12) consecutive months.

2.24.1 The Licensee reserves the right to close the Inactive Player Account, without justification and at its sole discretion, if no activity has occurred on the Player Account for 12 months. The Account Holder will be notified in a timely manner by the Licensee. The funds held by the Account Holder in their Inactive Player Account at that time will irrevocably and without possibility of objection become the property of Unibet after a period of 14 days from the date of notification, with the loss of all rights for the Account Holder and their legal successors, to which each Account Holder expressly consents.

2.25 If an Account Holder’s Player Account has been closed due to addiction or fraud, that Visitor may not open a new Player Account with the License Holder or any other Unibet platform. The License Holder cannot be held liable if the Account Holder manages to open a new account, nor for any direct or indirect damages resulting therefrom. The License Holder may close any account opened in violation of this rule at any time.

3. Rules relating to deposits and payments

3.1 Deposits to and withdrawals from a Player Account must always be made through a Financial Institution or Payment Solution Provider. The procedures, terms and conditions, availability, and processing times for deposits and withdrawals may vary over time, from country to country, and from one Financial Institution to another. Up-to-date information regarding these transactions can be found on the Website under the headings “Deposits” and “Withdrawals”.

3.2 The Licence Holder shall keep the funds of an Account Holder separate from its own funds, in a client account opened with a regulated Financial Institution.

3.3 Without prejudice to the generality of the provisions of Article 2.4, the Licence Holder shall not make any payment exceeding two thousand euros from the Player Account of any Account Holder without first verifying the identity, age and place of residence of the Account Holder.

3.4 A Payment Solutions Provider may be designated to receive deposits, hold and manage funds, and pay withdrawals on behalf of the Licence Holder.

3.5 Any withdrawal from a Player Account will result in the payment of the requested sum to the Account Holder or the transfer of this sum to the declared bank account of the Account Holder.

3.6 All funds received for the Account Holder or payable to the Account Holder will be credited to their Player Account.

3.7 Payment Methods to and Withdrawals from a Player Account

  • deposit funds into his Player Account via an account held in his own name with a Payment Solutions Provider;
  • request transfers of funds held in his Player Account to his personal account opened with one of the Financial Institutions or one of their dealers.

3.7.2 An Account Holder is responsible for providing the Licensee with the correct details of their personal account for the purpose of making withdrawals from their Player Account. If insufficient details are provided to verify this personal account, the Licensee reserves the right to suspend the transaction and the Player Account.

3.7.3 An Account Holder may not allow any third party to make deposits into or withdrawals from their Player Account. Use by a third party will also be considered to have occurred if a third party’s payment method is used, even if the account with the Financial Institution is also in the Account Holder’s name.

3.7.4 The Account Holder is solely responsible for ensuring that they comply with the above provisions.

3.8 A Game of Chance will only be accepted if a Player Account has been opened in the name of the Account Holder and that Player Account has sufficient funds to cover the amount of the Game of Chance, or that the funds necessary to cover the stake are provided in an authorized manner.

3.9 The Licensee shall not conduct any transactions with an Account Holder’s credit balance, except:

  • to debit the Player Account made by the Account Holder or an amount for which the Account Holder indicates they want to play a Game of Chance during a game they are playing or about to play;
  • to pay funds from the credit balance of the Player Account to the Account Holder, at the latter’s request;
  • to pay reasonable bank charges relating to deposits received and withdrawals made; or
  • in another manner permitted by applicable law or authorities.

3.10 Any withdrawal from a Player Account will result in payments being made to the Account Holder or transferred to a bank account held in the name of the Account Holder, as indicated by the latter.

3.11 When the Account Holder wishes to withdraw funds that he has deposited into his Player Account without having previously wagered these funds in Betting activities, the Licence Holder reserves the right to refuse the Account Holder, in particular due to possible abuses in the fight against money laundering, to withdraw his funds until all of them have been wagered.

3.12 Fees to cover the administrative costs of withdrawals may be applied, as indicated on the website.

3.13 All transactions may be monitored to prevent fraud and money laundering. Any suspicious transaction will be reported to the relevant authorities. The Licensee reserves the right to suspend the Player Account pending verification and confirmation of the transaction’s legality.

Any dispute will be submitted exclusively to the courts of Brussels.

10.14.2 In the event of a dispute, the Account Holder is advised to file a complaint with the License Holder’s customer service department. Unibet will forward this complaint to the CJH upon request. The Account Holder may also file a complaint with the CJH. The parties will endeavor to resolve the dispute amicably within a reasonable timeframe.

10.14.3 In the event of a dispute, the Licensee shall provide the Account Holder with a detailed report of its transactions. This information may also be made available to legitimate third parties (e.g., a judge or a court) if the Licensee consents.

10.14.4 In the event that a complaint is filed by an Account Holder, an investigation will be opened immediately concerning:

  • The operation of a game of chance which is the subject of the complaint;
  • The behavior of a representative in connection with operations related to a Game of Chance which is the subject of this complaint.

10.14.5 The Licensee will endeavor to inform the Visitor or Account Holder who filed a complaint of the results of its investigation within twenty-one (21) days of the date the complaint was filed. The

10.15 Other provisions

10.15.1 An Account Holder may only hold one Player Account for Gambling purposes. No prizes awarded on any of the deleted Player Accounts will be transferred to the remaining account.

10.15.2 The Visitor or Account Holder understands that the names of the bets, graphics, texts, concepts, visual elements and other methodologies are protected Intellectual Property Rights of Unibet and that they cannot acquire any rights to them.

10.15.3 A Visitor’s or Account Holder’s interest in the Games of Chance or the Website must be personal and not professional. Any other use of the Website or the Games of Chance is strictly prohibited.

10.15.4 The Visitor or Account Holder must regularly (at least once a month) review these General Terms and Conditions, including the Regulations.

11.2 The doctrine of unforeseen circumstances does not apply to the relationship between the Licensee and the Account Holder. 12.5 All reasonable measures will be taken to ensure that the Licensee’s approved computer system allows any Account Holder whose participation in a Game of Chance has been interrupted after placing a bet, due to a failure in the telecommunications system or in their own computer system, thus preventing them from continuing to play, to resume their participation in the game, as soon as the system is restored, and in the same place where they were just before the interruption.

12.6 If the License Holder’s computer does not allow any Account Holder in this situation to continue, after system restoration, a Game interrupted due to a failure on the telecommunications system or on their own computer system:

  • The game will be over;
  • The amount of the stake will be returned to the Account Holder by crediting the Player Account.

12.7 If a Game of Chance has started but fails due to a failure on the Licensee’s computer operating system:

  • The CJH is immediately informed of the circumstances of the incident;
  • the amount wagered by the Account Holder during the Game of Chance will be credited to the Player Account or, if the Player Account no longer exists, by paying it to the player in an authorized manner; and if the Account Holder had a higher credit balance at the time the failure occurred in the Game of Chance, the Player Account will be credited with the value of the credit or, if the account no longer exists, by paying it to the Account Holder in an authorized manner;
  • The Account Holder should avoid playing another Game of Chance when, in all likelihood, it will be affected by the same failure.

12.8 In the event that the Licensee is found liable in any way before a court and/or similar authority having jurisdiction, the Account Holders’ liability will be limited to the lesser of the stake and net winnings. Alternatively, if appropriate and applicable, this liability will be limited to the lesser of the amount recorded in the Player Account, or the amounts credited or debited to the Player Account.

12.10 The Account Holder and the Visitor must take all appropriate measures to protect the data and/or software stored on their computer against all types of accidental deletion. Connecting to the Website and participating in a Game of Chance are done at the player’s own risk.

12.11 The Licensees do not acknowledge or accept any liability for any damage or loss caused to an Account Holder and/or any third party and resulting directly and/or indirectly from the fact that the Account Holder:

13.2 An Account Holder understands and acknowledges that, if not played in moderation, games of chance can lead to addiction. An Account Holder who opens a Player Account and plays on the Website declares and warrants that they have never experienced an addiction and have never received any treatment and/or diagnosis for such an addiction.

13.3 We actively collaborate with various institutes and have concluded a cooperation agreement with the Dostoevsky Pathological Gambling Clinic (Brugmann University Hospital, Place Van Gehuchten 4, 1020 Brussels).
